Theory & Practical Combined

How To Get Qualified

How do I get qualified to be a Plumber?

The traditional way has been for 16-24 year olds to train via college or apprenticeship routes, over a number of years before becoming qualified, with very limited opportunities for mature students.

Nowadays however, due to College Courses being oversubscribed, apprenticeships limited, shortage of qualified plumbing tutors, ambition and lifestyle changes - this route is far too long, especially for those wishing to start or change career direction.

Easy Plumb - Train the easy way

Learn Theory - Easy Plumb Introduction and Easy Plumb Advanced contain the theory as taught at college, but as you study at your own pace, you have the chance to cover the ground far more quickly than a set college programme which by definition has to account for average learning abilities. You can also do this bit without giving up your current salary.

Put Theory into Practice - Take a practical course; this will help you gain valuable experience through City & Guilds approved workshops, run by tutors who have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and who will train you to the highest standards. Based on your budget and available time, let Easy Plumb get you to the level you want.– C&G / NVQ / Corgi. Visit our workshops page.

With theory and practical combined, you will have now gained recognised plumbing qualifications through C&G 6129/6022/6032, which meet most domestic plumbing requirements, including:

  • General plumbing maintenance & repairs
  • Burst pipe repairs
  • Taps, sinks and kitchen appliances
  • Bathroom, toilet & shower Installations

Enabling you to begin your new career in Plumbing.

If you wish to obtain the NVQ Qualification, you will need to create a suitable portfolio of evidence. By learning all your underpinning knowledge, through theory and gaining your practical qualifications, through the workshops but more importantly you feel ready to take the examination, as this is a work-based qualification. We give all our students full guidance on how to create a portfolio.

Enjoy a new lifestyle: Being a plumber can offer you a varied lifestyle. If your goal is to become your own boss, it will enable you to control your work rather than let your work control you. Start with the flexible blended learning course now - Click Here and you could be well on your way to a more exciting and flexible lifestyle.

Good luck!
